UPDATE: Salt Rock Woolies set to open in September

Woolworths Food at The New Salt Rock City at Mount Richmore is set to open its doors next month.

Salt Rock residents were greeted with good news on Monday morning after the new opening date of the long awaited Woolworths Food at The New Salt Rock City was confirmed.

A post on the Mount Richmore Estate Facebook page said that the official opening would be on Thursday, September 13, “complimenting the already successful Blue Star Checkers, with Mugg and Bean opening shortly to complete the tenant mix .”

Facebook users reacted to the news with much excitement, with most people leaving a comment saying “great news” and “finally!”.

The doors to Woolworths Food will finally open next month.

Also celebrating the exciting news is Liza Petrie, who owns home decor and furniture store, GreenHaus, at the centre.

“All good things come to those who wait, and we’ve waited a long time for this,” said Petrie.

“Welcome, Woolies. We ‘re glad to have you as our neighbours!”

The popular 9 300 square metre centre opened its doors in March and includes a Checkers, Checkers Liquor, Clicks, restaurants, clothing stores, a jeweler and more.

Phase 2 building will be kicking off in January 2019 with a 3000m2 gym and further tenant mix.
