WATCH: Elderly woman airlifted out from Ballito tennis court
The woman had collapsed during her morning walk.
Earlier this morning an elderly woman collapsed while taking her morning walk in Greenhaven Estate.
The lady, believed to be 85 years old, received injuries to her face in the fall.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, due to the nature of her injuries the Black Eagle/IPSS helicopter was scrambled to airlift her to hospital.

“IPSS advanced life support paramedics together with the Lenmed dedicated heart and stroke unit worked together in stabilising her,” said Herbst.
The helicopter pulled off a relatively tight landing on the tennis courts in Greenhaven, attracting quite a crowd of onlookers.
She was flown to Ethikweni Hospital for further care.
