Non-profit drug centre needs support – Ballito
ADCA are on the look-out for a new premises and are appealing to the community for help with space or donations.

A Ballito-based organisation that has helped many drug addicts and their families over the past four years is looking for a new home.
Against Drugs and Child Abuse (ADCA) has been in existence since 2014 and has operated from sponsored premises in the business park for the past two years, from where they have been counselling addicts before they need to be admitted to rehab and to support individuals and families affected by addiction.
Currently assisting around 20 individuals, ADCA’s counselors deal with the causes of addiction and boast a high success rate in getting addicts off drugs.
The team has also been invited by some of the local schools to share on drug awareness and counselling.
“Identifying root causes of addiction, and how this has broken people’s identity and true character, is the key to the success story of setting people free from addiction and restoring families,” said ADCA founder, Rex Hunt.
He said they now had to find new premises and are appealing to the community for help with space or donations towards renting new premises.
“We are imploring the community to assist us in fundraising to be able to meet the rent of the property and continue to support and counsel.
“Let’s work together to create and keep our Dolphin Coast community healthy, supported and productive.”
ADCA is a registered NPO and Public Benefit Organisation, certified to issue tax receipts.
