Three dead in two accidents on the North Coast

A man drove off a bridge on the R102 near Amatikulu.

Three people have died in two different accidents this morning.

A motorbike rider and his female passenger were killed in a high-impact head on collision with a taxi.

They were driving towards Stanger on the Doesburg Road when the motorbike and the taxi collided, leaving only one passenger with minor injuries.

In a separate incident, a man died after driving off a bridge on the R102 near Amatikulu.

“On arrival it was found that the driver of a bakkie lost control of his vehicle, plummeting about 30m,” said Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue.
