Pedestrian killed in Ballito collision
A woman in her forties was killed on the busy pavement.
One woman was killed and four people were injured after a car crash in upper Ballito this afternoon.
According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst at around 1.30pm this afternoon a taxi and a car crashed at the robots in front of the Lifestyle Centre.
According to Herbst, it appears the taxi was traveling north towards the N2 when a car was turning right into the Lifestyle centre, and the two collided at the intersection.

“Following the impact the taxi veered onto the pavement colliding with a pedestrian in her late 40’s,” he said.
IPSS and Lenmed Ethekweni paramedics arrived at the intersection to find the woman in a critical condition.

“Sadly, the patient succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased on scene.”
Four more people, occupants of the red car, were injured in the accident and were taken to hospital for further treatment.
