Thousands raised at Ballito Junction’s Christmas gift wrapping kiosks
More than R40 000 was handed over to The Reach For A Dream foundation.
The simple act of wrapping gifts at the Ballito Junction Regional Mall over the festive season resulted in thousands raised for children in need.
The busy festive season saw thousands of people flock to our local malls for their annual Christmas shopping, and thanks to the Junction’s gift wrapping kiosks, shoppers enjoyed the convenience of having their Christmas gifts wrapped while also lending a hand by donating to Reach For A Dream.
Thanks to their generosity, a total of R47 186.70 was recently handed over, which will help the organisation fulfill the dreams of children bravely battling life-threatening illnesses.
“We are so thankful to our shoppers who helped raise more than last year’s festive season,” said CEO of Ballito Junction, Geraldine Jorgensen.
“We are especially thankful for the opportunity to inspire hope in many more children and our hope is that our gift wrapping stands will be just as successful in December 2019.”

Kerry Donkin, Reach For A Dream KZN branch manager, said, “We at Reach For A Dream are grateful to Ballito Junction and their patrons for partnering with us during the gift wrapping fundraiser. We love it when our local communities get involved and support the work we do.
“Each donation makes an invaluable difference in encouraging children faced with life threatening illnesses to believe in the power of dreams. Thank you to everyone for being a part of the dream making team.”
