Man sets himself alight trying to get rid of bees – Stanger

The man was taken to hospital to treat serious burns to his upper body.

A Stanger man has been rushed to hospital after accidentally setting himself alight while trying to smoke out bees from a hive in his garden.

The man in his forties suffered partial burns to the upper part of his body, said paramedics.

“He is stable but in a lot of pain,” said IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst.
