Mysterious Tugela Bridge accident kills man in burning vehicle
The man was last seen in Thembeni earlier today - covered in blood.

A mangled piece of twisted burning metal was all that was left of a car that crashed into the Tugela River bridge today, driven by a man who had reportedly been spotted bleeding and in pain only hours earlier.
The man, who lost his life in the high impact accident, was seen in Thembeni earlier today where he reportedly stopped two female pedestrians in the road, asking them to phone someone on his behalf.
“After parking the car in front of the two women, he walked towards them, covered in blood.
“He gave them his cellphone and instructed them to call the mother of his child,” said Ilembe cluster spokesperson, constable Sibusiso Khuzwayo.
He than drove off at high speed, joining the N2, where he later crashed into the bridge and died.

“It was later discovered that he had a fight with the mother of his child in Eshowe, before taking her car.
“It is unclear as to where he went after he left Eshowe and how he got hurt, since he was last seen covered in blood and clearly in pain.”
A case was opened by the mother of the child at Eshowe SAPS against the man for driving her car without the owner’s permission.
