Loadshedding to continue into the weekend
The risk of loadshedding remains high until the middle of next week.
Eskom will continue with stage two loadshedding until Sunday.
This was due to “a shortage of generation capacity due to plant breakdowns and the need to manage our diesel and water resources… to ensure that the impact of the potential stage of loadshedding in the week ahead can be reduced.”
Eskom implemented Stage 2 rotational loadshedding from 8am today, and it is likely to continue until 11pm.
Eskom customers can check their loadshedding schedules on the Eskom website (loadshedding.eskom.co.za) or through the customer contact centre on 0860037566.
