Stage 2 loadshedding stays, for now

With a little bit of luck, loadshedding will not go back to Stage 4 this weekend.

After a dim week, the weekend is looking brighter, as Eskom has implemented Stage 2 loadshedding from 9am till 11pm on Saturday.

This means Ballito and the southern grid will not have any loadshedding, but Tongaat will be affected from 10am till 12pm, while Stanger and the northern grid will be in the dark from 6pm till 8/8.30pm.

“Loadshedding continues due to the shortage of capacity, but Eskom’s maintenance teams are working round the clock to return generation units to the electricity system.”

Remember to go easy on your electricity usage.

“We appeal to customers to switch off geysers during the day as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand. Remember to treat all electrical points as live during loadshedding.”
