Stylish new soccer kit, shoes for Maguyana Primary pupils
Thrilled with the new kits, Lucky Sishi said his team is now going to play even better.
It was all excitement and cheering as three ladies arrived with a dog and a box full of stylish new soccer kits and shoes at Maguyana Primary School, Driefontein on Monday.
Ballito’s Linda Rall volunteers for Humans Helping Animals – an organisation that helps neglected, abandoned and abused pets in Driefontein headed up by Jeannie Pedersen and her daughter Kayla-Leigh Jacobs.
Together, they have rescued, vaccinated and sterilised countless dogs in the area while educating the pet owners. Rall said they could not have come this far without the help of one specific resident.

“Lucky Sishi is so helpful and always assists us with info on sick and needy dogs. He helps us communicate with the residents to educate them on responsible pet ownership. Lucky is also the janitor at Maguyana Primary School and he coaches their soccer team,” said Rall.
“In our efforts to show the community that we care about them so that they in turn will grow to care for their animals, we embarked on a little mission to get some soccer gear sponsored for Lucky’s team.”
They managed to secure a national brand – Olympic International – via the footwear company called Bolton Footwear which is based in Cape Town.
“Bolton Footwear’s Wayne Roos and Olympic International brand manager Gary Gilder sponsored 20 pairs of brand new soccer boots. The company I work for ooba homeloans added some budget for a few new soccer shirts as well.”
Thrilled with the new kits, Lucky said his team is now going to play even better.
“I am 100 percent happy with the shoes and shirts. Thank you,” said Lucky.
