Dog lovers rally for rescue organisation

The event was in aid of raising much-needed funds for the pro-life animal rescue organisation, Sables Creatures.

Dozens of animal-lovers and their four-legged furries came out to support the Pooch and Family 5km fun run and walk for Sables Creatures on Saturday morning.

Hosted at Concha Cafe, the event was in aid of raising much-needed funds for the pro-life animal rescue organisation that has been operating since June 2012.

“Our mission is to help all creatures big and small.

“There is a great need to assist, rescue, rehabilitate, and provide medical care and sterilization in poverty stricken areas where we work diligently with our rescue, outreach and sterilization projects,” said Dee Allan from Sables Creatures.

Shannon McGee gives her beloved Lulu a well deserved water break.

“We strive to educate the community on how to value and treat animals with respect and kindness.”

The organisation relies solely on donations.
