Guest speaker at the breakfast will be Financial Mail editor Rob Rose talking on the topic: Steinheist - Lessons for business from the largest corporate fraud SA has ever seen.
Learn from the past to make sure your business’ future is secure at the annual iLembe Business@Breakfast at Exclusive Books, Ballito Junction on June 19.
Guest speaker at the breakfast will be Financial Mail editor Rob Rose talking on the topic: Steinheist – Lessons for business from the largest corporate fraud SA has ever seen.
Rose is the author of the book Steinheist and will reveal through his unique insight what business can learn from the corporate fraud that wiped more than R200 billion from the JSE and knocked the pension funds of millions of people.
Ilembe Chamber CEO Cobus Oelofse said he has read the Rose’s book and that it is was so entertaining that the partners decided to collaborate with Exclusive Books in inviting Rose to share his research.
“Steinhoff invites dubious accolades such as South Africa’s own Enron and WorldCom, with Markus Jooste being labeled as our own Bernard Madoff,” said Oelofse.
“Any person interested in corporate governance, business ethics, business journalism, boardroom antics or Messiah investors – this talk will be a fascinating insight.”
Make sure to arrive at 7.30am to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before the presentation by Rose which will start at 8am sharp. After the talk, guests will be treated to a breakfast from 9am-10am.
Entrance costs R75 for Chamber members and R250 for non members. To book, contact Ntombifuthi at 087 354 6343 or send a mail to ntombifuthi@ilembechamber.co.za
