Still no trace of missing KwaDukuza toddler
Despite a widespread search since his disappearance police are no closer to discovering the whereabouts of the missing boy.
Fears are growing for the life of a five-year-old child who went missing without a trace in Stanger last week.
Sabelo Mcineka, who cannot hear or speak, was officially reported missing on Wednesday, July 3, but was last seen on Monday, July 1 at around 9am at Safe Haven for Children and Elders in Lindelani, KwaDukuza were he lives.
Since reporting him as missing a door-to-door search was done in the surrounding area with the help of community members and unit members of KwaDukuza SAPS.
The police’s search and rescue unit also joined the search on Wednesday but despite a widespread search since his disappearance police are no closer to discovering the whereabouts of the missing boy.
KwaDukuza SAPS last week issued an urgent appeal to the North Coast community to help locate the disabled boy.
Safe Heaven for Children and Elders is a safe-house for nine orphans as well as elders run.
They also operate as a soup kitchen where approximately 45 orphans are fed meals every week.
According to police enquiries had been made at hospitals and the search for Mcineka continued.
The child had been wearing a red t-shirt and blue shorts at the time of his disappearance.
