Ballito Lions have staying power
While the club has only six members they are part of the largest service organization in the world.
The Ballito Lions club may have only six members, but barring the newly inducted member Ken Chapman, the other five members have stood strong for many years.
Some as far back as the club’s inception more than two decades ago.
With over 1.4 million members, the Lions are the largest service organization in the world.

On Saturday, June 29 the Lions club held their 36th Charter and installation ceremony for incoming president Lion Paul Naidoo, who joined the club 25 years ago.
Naidoo, who has held the reins many times, said he looked forward to another year of impactful charity work that made a difference in the lives of the poorest of the poor.
Outgoing president Kyle Crichton said that although they were few, the members were all completely committed, commending them for throwing all their energy into the projects undertaken by the club in the past year. He said their golf day, that brought in almost R250 000 was such a success thanks to the work put in by incoming president Lion Naidoo.
“You could not ask for a better president,” he concluded.
