Pump up the volume – IASCA SA Semi Finals

Competitors travelled from all over South Africa to take part.

If the ground is not vibrating beneath you, it’s not loud enough – was the lesson learned on Saturday and Sunday at the IASCA SA Semi Finals World Record Event and Boss Motor Show.

The event was hosted by Sibaya Casino, home of the International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA).

Team Bass Power: Isham Haridass, Viresh Harilall, Peter Ramnarian, Ajay Subagh, Samir Ramnarian and Malcolm Naidoo.

The competition featured an International SPL format and Bass Boxing Sound-off competition, an International Sound Quality contest, a Tuner Jam Challenge – Show and Shine competition, and the Dyno Challenge.

Luka and Damir Percaic from Umdloti came prepared for the deafening sounds.

“The show was great, we had close to 80 SPL vehicles running, 50 Show and Shine display vehicles, and 30 cars on the Dyno Challenge,” said Mohnish Ramgovind.

Naukesh Singh and Demi-Lee Cuff from Flick-iT.

Two world records were set by Brothers of Bass: Riley Samuels holds the Hatch 2 record at 159.7 dB with 3890w and Bradley Samuels holds the Hatch 3 record at 159.6 dB with 5876w.
