A floral fiesta at the Durban & Coast SPCA breakfast

A total of R16 000 net was raised from the Women's Day breakfast.

Eighty-six women were treated to a delightful breakfast at Rain Farm Game Lodge last Wednesday, when Durban & Coast SPCA held its annual Women’s Day Breakfast.

The theme was floral fantasy, and the ladies certainly dressed to impress.

The guests enjoy the photobooth and props provided by KZN Wedding DJ.

The event included a raffle, lucky draws and bidding for two bespoke kennels from the Oyster Box Hotel.

The smaller kennel sold for R450 and the larger one went for R900. Guest speaker for the day was Venusha Moodley-Nirmal of 3 Little Angels Pet Nutrition, who spoke on how to help your pets live longer with a raw food diet.

“It was a lovely morning enjoyed by all,” said Durban & Coast SPCA marketing manager, Tanya Fleischer.

“The table that won the game drive after the breakfast saw a lovely variety of animals, including a baby crocodile.

“Thank you to Rain Farm for their continued support, to all our sponsors and all the ladies in attendance, who made the breakfast a great success.”

She said the money raised will be put to great use in serving the voiceless animals of Durban and the North Coast.
