#BehindTheScenes: Palm Lakes through the eyes of a child

Palm Lakes Family Estate has come up with a unique concept for showcasing their fantastic facilities and offerings.
They have released an incredible eight-part video series which shows the estate through the eyes of a child.
A major focus is that the Estate offers multi generational living – the parents, kids and grandparents can all live in the same estate, and it caters for every aspect of life.
The series took two and a half months to make, and was the combined efforts of many people including video production manager at Wordsmiths Marketing Mary-Ann Palmer.

“I enjoyed filming in the beautiful surroundings of Palm Lakes Family Estate, working closely together with the guidance of Wim and Olivia Sak and of course filming with the children,” said Palmer.

“They made the experience fun and delightful. But I could not have done this without the team effort with everyone involved.”
Ethan Naidoo was the narrator of the video series, and did a brilliant job.
“He is such a naturally talented child,” said Palmer.

Some challenges Palmer experienced were that the weather was not always conducive to filming, and that filming had to work around the children’s busy schedules.
But it was all worth it.
“It was a fantastic and colourful experience working together with these amazing children and their parents, each child authentic in their own way. They came up with their own filming ideas, they were always enthusiastic and willing to work together,” she said.
C.O.O of Royal Palm Property Holdings, Olivia Roels-Sak, has nothing but good things to say about the experience.

Previously a journalist at The North Coast Courier and now Get It Ballito.Umhlanga journalist Elana Wagner was tasked with writing the script for the video.
“It was a challenge to write from the perspective of a child, but it was fun,” said Wagner.
