Eskom jumps to stage 2 as demand exceeds supply
Loadshedding moves from stage one to two at 2pm.

Eskom will ramp up loadshedding this afternoon from stage one loadshedding to two in the wake of an increased demand for electricity.
Stage two is set to start at 2pm, until 10pm this evening.
Despite the return to service of several units, both Tutuka and Kendal power stations remain offline.

We regret that loadshedding Stage 1 will change to Stage 2 from 14:00 until 22:00 due to a shortage of capacity.

Please note that the power system is severely constrained as demand is constantly increasing. We are currently 2 000MW higher than yesterday. Please switch off electric heaters, geysers, pool pumps and other non-essential appliances. @EskomSpokesper1
