#MandelaDay2020: Five ways you get to give back (remotely)
This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mandela Day will be celebrated a bit differently.
Every year in July, South Africans and people across the world dedicate 67 minutes or more of their time to volunteering a service to the needy to commemorate the lifetime of service Nelson Mandela gave to South Africa and the world.
Celebrated on Madiba’s birthday, July 18, Mandela Day brings people from all walks of life in pursuit of one purpose, helping others.
This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mandela Day will be celebrated a bit differently.

Here are five ways you can give back during lockdown.
1. Vision 153: Chop and drop a bag of fresh vegetables, tinned or packet soup for their soup kitchen or purchase a R250 Vision Combo through USAVESA at
usavesa.co.za.
Veggies can be left at Shortens Estate Security or 39 Dunkirk Road, Salt Rock (toot at the gate).
For more details visit their Facebook page.
2. Summerhill House: This NPO has a vision to build homes for and care for children who have been directly affected by the HIV pandemic in KZN.
