KwaDukuza police station shut as officer tests positive with Covid-19
The station shut its doors on Wednesday evening and is expected to reopen later this week.

Confirming the temporary closure of the KwaDukuza Saps, station spokesperson Priya Nunkumar said that an officer had tested positive with Covid-19 on Wednesday this week.
The station closed at 6pm that evening and has since been scheduled for decontamination with services expected to return to normal this Friday at 10am.
Services according to Nunkumar will however not be hampered.
“The Community Service Centre will operate from at KwaDukuza Town Hall at 104 King Shaka Street, which is not far from the police station for the convenience of the community,” she said.
Residents can still contact the station at an additional number provided for emergencies and complaints – 079 696 3548.
Main lines at the station will not be answered.
“The Saps management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” said Nunkumar.
