Loadshedding stage 2 is back from 4pm today
It is reported that generating units broke down at Kriel, Arnot, Majuba and Tutuka power stations within the last 24 hours, exacerbating the utility's power providing capacity.
Further breakdowns at several of Eskom’s power stations have forced the struggling utility provider to implement stage 2 loadshedding from 4pm this afternoon.

Loadshedding is set to continue until tomorrow morning at 5am.
Despite a return to service of some units, Eskom said this was insufficient to avoid loadshedding for the rest of the week, with supply constraints persisting throughout the high winter demand period.
More units are expected to return to service this evening.
An appeal was made by the state-owned utility for electricity to be used sparingly.

Ballito Southern Grid (Tinley Manor to Ballito & Zimbali): 8-10.30pm
