More breakdowns continues loadshedding until Friday
Relying on emergency reserves to supply the demand over the past few days has also seen the state-owned utility crippled.

Friday at 10pm is when loadshedding stage 2 is set to end, Eskom said yesterday.
Stage 2 officially starts today (Wednesday) at 10am – this follows several further breakdowns at a number of power stations.
Again, this issue is exacerbated by Eskom’s failure to return units to service on time.
Relying on emergency reserves to supply the demand over the past few days has also seen the state-owned utility crippled.
“Breakdown currently total 13 601MW of capacity, while another 1 330MW is unavailable due to planned maintenance,” the utility provider said.
Eskom said its teams were working hard to return generation units to service, as well as to replenish emergency reserves.
