You could save a life by supporting the #HelmetsOnHeads campaign

A helmet could be the difference between life and death.

In an attempt to help commuting cyclists on the North Coast, 2 agents at RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors have started a campaign to collect ‘gently-used’ helmets.

There are many high school students and adults who are forced to commute by bicycle and often they cannot afford a helmet.

Allana Smith and Sally Mitchell are trying to solve the problem by organising donation boxes across Ballito, Salt Rock and Umhlali.

“We are proud to be a part of the solution by creating a drive to get #HelmetsOnHeads and call on you to participate too, as we know our community has a collaborative spirit and commitment to supporting critical causes by uplifting those less financially fortunate,” said Smith.

If you have ‘gently-used’ helmets collecting dust in the garage then this is the perfect solution, helping to keep commuters safe while recycling at the same time.

Helmets must not be broken or unusable, please only donate if it is still in working condition.

The campaign aims to gather 100 helmets.

Collection boxes are at KwikSpar Ballito Village, Umhlali Prep, Ashton College, Bench Coffee at Tiffany’s Beach and the RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors officer in Sandra Road and Tiffany’s Centre.
