Sheffield Drive collapse repaired at long last
After 7 years of repeated issues, the poor drainage system along Sheffield Drive which led to constant issues with the roadway has been upgraded.
Repairs to the Sheffield/Barrier Drive road which collapsed time and time again are complete.
After 7 years of repeated issues, the poor drainage system along Sheffield Drive which led to constant issues with the roadway has been upgraded.
The latest repair started in February.

An initial estimated time of 5 months was given to complete the project, which finished last week.
Njomco Enterprises were awarded the project and repaired the roadway at a cost of R1.7-million.
Salt Rock ward councillor, Privi Makhan said residents were greatly inconvenienced over the last year and a half, following the collapse.
“The project finally unfolded in February and has now reached completion. The road has been opened to motorists and we look forward to the official handover of the project in coming weeks,” she said.
