Meet Buddy, the 2-year-old Africanis with 3 legs and a heart of gold.

Buddy was badly injured and left on the road following a car accident on the R102 about 6 months ago.

After being rushed to Aloe Vet, they had no choice but to amputate 1 of his legs.

Although he needed a few days to recover and has since been building up his strength with a family near Umhlali, Buddy has never lost his spirit.

“He is just the most wonderful dog.

“He may look a little different, but Buddy is so sweet and always comes and shows love to whoever is around.

“He’s great with kids too,” said Leesa Burger, whose boyfriend’s family is looking after Buddy.

But the family already have a number of pets and are hoping Buddy can be taken by a family who can give him some more one-on-one love.

“We would all be so sad to see him go, but we think he deserves a family who can give him a little bit of extra care.

“He will add laughter and joy to any family that can foster or adopt him.”
