Stage 2 loadshedding to be suspended on Tuesday

The power utility started Stage 2 load shedding on Monday evening.

The emergency stage 2 loadshedding announced earlier this evening will be suspended at 5am on Tuesday morning.

“Unit 5 of Medupi Power Station has just tripped, taking some 700MW capacity with,” the power utility tweeted at 6.19am.

But energy supply is expected to remain constrained all week, with the possibility of further load shedding, Eskom said.

Loadshedding schedule

Stanger Northern Grid: 00h00 to 2h30

Ballito Southern Grid: No loadshedding.
