Etete man’s body found floating in the Mhlali river

The man had been missing since Monday.

The body of a 32-year-old man was found floating in the Mhlali River close to the railway tracks near Flag Farm today.

According to reports, the man left home on Monday to buy cigarettes but never returned.

An Umhlali police spokesperson said an inquest docket has been opened.

Twenty-eight people in the iLembe district have so far been confirmed dead in this week’s devastating floods.
