Every drop of water like gold
"People in especially the informal settlement were in dire need of water. Many of them have babies" - Simbithi resident Stephney Ashworth.
Simbithi resident Stephney Ashworth arranged a donation of 500 litres of water to Shaka’s Head residents last week.
Like most areas, the township has been struggling with water since the floods, but Ashworth said although she knew water tankers would be sent to the township, she felt compelled to jump in without delay to help bring relief.
She arranged for transport through a farmer friend and the water was collected and distributed last week.
She said she hoped to get more water until the situation had returned to normal.
