Ballito mother arrested after allegedly drowning daughter (4) in water bucket

The little girl's hands were tied with tape.

A 45-year-old Ballito mother has been arrested for allegedly killing her 4-year-old daughter yesterday by drowning her in a bucket of water.

She is expected to appear in the KwaDukuza magistrate’s court tomorrow (Thursday).

According to police, the mother told them the child “was difficult and troubling her”, so she decided to drown her.

Both the girl’s hands were tied with tape and she was declared dead at the scene.

A case of murder has been opened by the Umhlali police.
