Low water levels at iLembe pump station cause water interruptions

Kearsney, High Ridge, Stanger Manor, Shakaville and Warrenton were in some parts left without water.

Low water levels at the Kearsney pump station caused water interruptions in some North Coast areas today as the iLembe District Municipality could only run one of its three pumps.

Water service operations manager for KwaDukuza and Ndwedwe, Elias Bhengu, said water interruptions occurred in some parts of Kearsney, High Ridge, Stanger Manor, Shakaville and Warrenton.

“Water is however now filling up at the pump station and with one of the pumps still operational not all households were  affected,” said Bhengu.

For any water queries contact iLembe’s 24-hour call centre at 032 437 9371 or 032 437 9427, or send a WhatsApp message to 074 344 4508.
