No water for parts of KwaDukuza tomorrow
Umgeni Water has requested an emergency shutdown tomorrow from 6am to 6pm to repair a leak at the Lower Thukela treatment works.

KwaDukuza residents will be without water tomorrow because of an emergency shutdown of the Lower Thukela treatment works.
iLembe’s water service operations manager for KwaDukuza and Ndwedwe, Elias Bhengu, said Umgeni Water has requested the emergency shutdown from tomorrow morning at 6am to repair a leak.
The following areas will be affected: Sakhamkhanya, San Souci, Shekembula, Ohlange, Mdlebeni, Lindelani, Shakaville, Zamani, Darnall, Zinkwazi, Blythedale, Stanger Manor, Warrenton, Doesburg, KwaDukuza central business district, Glenhills, Nyoniyamanzi, Lot 16, Gledhow North, Ntshawini, Groutville, Mission, Thembeni, Dube Village, Malende, Hangoes and Zilungisele.
“The shutdown may result in low pressure or water interruption, and owing to the vastness of the infrastructure, the interruption of services may last a bit longer than the stipulated times, especially in areas with limited storage facilities,” said Bhengu.
