Pedestrian killed crossing the N2 at Ballito offramp

The man in his mid-40s died on impact.

In yet another incident on the N2 this afternoon, a man in his mid-40s was killed after being hit by an oncoming vehicle.

“At around 4.30pm, while trying to cross the N2 northbound just before the Ballito exit, the man was knocked over and died on impact,” said Medi Response spokesperson, Paul Herbst.

This has caused major traffic delays on the northbound lane, after the southbound lane was also impacted by an accident and attempted hijacking just an hour earlier.

There are delays in both directions and motorists are urged to drive with caution when approaching these areas.
