North Coast tourism potential showcased

Enterprise iLembe, together with KwaDukuza municipality, presented the North Coast region's diverse offerings at the 2023 Africa's Travel Indaba.

KwaZulu-Natal hosted the 2023 Africa’s Travel Indaba (ATI) at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) from 9-12 May.

The three-day trade show began with a Business Opportunity Networking Day (BONDay) session, supported by Enterprise iLembe, allowing industry stakeholders to connect, discuss trends, and promote small businesses.

The theme of this year’s ATI was “Unlimited Africa,” highlighting the continent’s potential post Covid-19.

More than 6 000 delegates, including 1 000 international buyers and exhibitors, showcased 350 tourism products.

Enterprise iLembe, together with KwaDukuza municipality, presented the North Coast region’s diverse offerings.

CEO of Enterprise iLembe, Linda Mncube, emphasised the event’s importance for partnerships and showcasing unique attractions.

Tourism minister Patricia de Lille stressed collaboration for sector growth.

Manager of Salt Rock’s Sea-Rendipity Guesthouse, Chanté Coetzer, expressed enthusiasm for ATI’s business opportunities.

“It’s always a great pleasure to attend Africa’s Travel Indaba through the support we receive from Enterprise iLembe. It provides an opportunity to promote and expand our reach as a business and find new clients,” she said.
