Round Table rallies to support storm victims

Round Table Ballito hopes to bring relief to the families who have lost their homes and belongings.

In response to last week’s devastating storms which lashed the region, members of Round Table Ballito have launched a fundraising campaign to provide vital support to those affected at Inanda.

Located 30km north-west of Durban, Inanda was struck by severe rainfall and a landspout (smaller type of tornado).

Seven people died across the province while a further seven remain missing.

Other areas heavily impacted by the powerful storm include Phoenix, Ntuzuma, KwaMashu, Pinetown, Durban North and Folweni.

Dozens of homes have been destroyed and more than 150 people have been left without roofs over their heads.

Round Table Ballito hopes to bring relief to the families who have lost their homes and belongings.

Aside from assisting with rebuilding efforts, the organisation will also allocate a portion of funds raised for essential food packs.
