Injured motorist airlifted after M4 crash

Road closed for close to 30 minutes for AMS helicopter to land.

A 37-year-old man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after his car crashed into a pillar of a bridge on the M4.

Samantha Meyrick of IPSS Medical Rescue said the accident happened at the La Mercy bridge.

The road had to be closed for close to 30 minutes for the AMS Helicopter to land.

However, the road has since been reopened.
