Living in a comfortable, functional home is a goal for many property owners. So how does one achieve functionality and simplicity while creating imposing spaces?

“To create a warm, inviting home, homeowners can incorporate these trends by integrating earthy colour palettes, natural materials such as wood and stone, and embracing multifunctional furniture pieces that maximise space utilisation,” said Malinga.

She reckons emerging style trends will include the revival of mid-century retro influences.

Furniture trends will include popular materials such as wood, rattan and leather, with neutral colour palettes and matte finishes.

Examples include modular sofas with interchangeable components, sculptural accent chairs, and multifunctional storage solutions.

“By embracing these trends thoughtfully, people can transform their homes into havens of comfort and style.”
