Potjie party raises over R40 000 for The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund

The colourful event was hosted by Matt Coningham at his home in Salt Rock.

More than R40 000 was raised for The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund at this year’s Swan and Seasnake Potjie and Punch competition held in Salt Rock.

The colourful event was hosted by Matt Coningham at his home in Salt Rock on Saturday.

The Bella Chow team claimed 4th place.

This year’s best potjie was brewed up by EWBO, with Krazy Corner finishing second and Mad Max third.

The event has been held for the past couple of years and is getting bigger and better.

Orphan Fund fundraising coordinator Charmaine Premlal thanked Coningham and all the participants for their continued support.

“Your presence, enthusiasm, and “gees” make a difference in the lives of our children,” said Premlal.
