SARS commissioner Edward Kieswetter to address Ballito Business@Breakfast event on Friday

Kieswetter will focus on the role of the revenue service in promoting economic development and aiding recovery.

Professor Edward Kieswetter will share valuable insight into the South African Revenue Service’s (SARS) role in economic development at Friday’s Business@Breakfast meeting at Canelands Beach Club.

Kieswetter has been SARS’ commissioner since 2019 and there is nobody better placed to speak on the goals and reach of the agency.

His talk will focus specifically on what role SARS has in promoting economic development and recovery countrywide.

Aside from his position with the revenue service, Kieswetter had also previously held numerous senior executive roles and board positions on listed private companies.

His knowledge of market forces and the impact government intervention can have on the economy will be of interest to all local businesspeople.

Tickets are still available for the Business@Breakfast event, which will be held in conjunction with the iLembe Chamber of Commerce, the Robert Group and The North Coast Courier.

They can be purchased for R265 for Chamber members and R365 for non-Chamber members.

Proceedings will start at 8.30am.

RSVP to the Chamber by the end of today at 087 354 6343, or by emailing ntombifuthi@ilembechamber.co.za.
