Four people lost their lives in two accidents on local roads.
This morning a 48-year-old pedestrian sustained fatal injuries after being hit by a taxi on the N2 near Ballito.
IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics responded, but the man was declared dead at the scene.
Last night three people, including a young child, died when the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision on the R74 link road between Stanger and the N2.
