Top young artists enjoy Sugar Rush fun day after popular Orphan Fund colouring competition
More than 2 000 entries poured in for the competition.
More than 2 000 vibrant artworks poured in for The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund‘s annual colouring-in competition, raising over R40 000 for local children’s charities.
The competition featured six main winners, three from Beaches Primary School and three independent entries, with all winners receiving food hampers and exciting prizes. However, special recognition went to a 15 further prize winners who represented The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund beneficiaries.

These winners came from the Nkobongo Resource Centre, the Enduduzweni Drop-in Centre in Etete and Melville and the Siyakhula Crèche in Shaka’s Head. As part of their prize, they enjoyed a fun-filled day at Sugar Rush Park, taking part in the activities and receiving goodie bags filled with exciting treats.

Orphan Fund fundraising coordinator, Charmaine Premlal, expressed gratitude to the sponsors who made the competition a success through their generous donations.
“Your support is making a real difference, and we truly appreciate your commitment to this cause. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful event and helping us create something meaningful in our community,” she said.
