Churches unite to inspire next generation

The annual holiday club is a must on the holiday bucket list.

Laughter, learning and life-changing moments marked this year’s Holiday Club, hosted over two unforgettable days in Ballito last week.

With hundreds of energetic children, passionate volunteers and an incredible atmosphere of unity, it was a beautiful celebration of faith, fun and community.

Making new friends at Holiday Club.

What made this event especially powerful was the collaboration between several local churches. Volunteers from Adventure Church, Grace Family Church Ballito, Wave Church, Linc Church and Freedom House each brought something unique, but all shared the same heart: To impact the next generation with God’s love.

The theme for the week, “Impacting the City,” came to life through high-energy games, engaging Bible stories, worship, obstacle courses, memory challenges and more. Children left feeling inspired, having not only made new friends but also learned about courage, compassion and purpose.

The children enjoyed two days packed with fun activities.

“We saw children cheering one another on and soaking in the truth that they can make a difference wherever they go. It was such a joy to witness,” said Grace Family Church’s Jill Roberts.

The event would not have been possible without the incredible group of volunteers, youth leaders and behind-the-scenes heroes who gave their time and energy so generously.

As the dust settles and the last glitter sparkles fade, one thing is certain, this was more than just a holiday programme: “It was a movement of unity, love and light in our city. We can’t wait to do it all again.
