Chef Mel Alafaci brought her international experience to a fantastic morning of cooking fun.

South African Australia-based chef, Mel Alafaci, known as ‘The Happy Chef’, whipped up a storm with delicious recipes from her popular cookbooks during a lively recent cooking demo at Hirsch’s Ballito.

Guests were treated to a mouthwatering beef, broccoli and sweet potato sushi stack and her signature fool-proof gnocchi – both packed with flavour and flair.

Chef Mel adds finishing touches to her sushi dish.

Having sold one of Australia’s most successful cookery schools, Vanilla Zulu, Chef Mel now shares her passion through her bestselling books, Eat Yourself Sexy Quickies and Italian Quickies, continuing to inspire food lovers to cook with confidence and creativity.
