Donate the gift of food security this Christmas

The Restore Africa Foundation wants to distribute 30 000 meals to the needy.

The Restore Africa Foundation is hoping to raise enough funds to donate 30 000 meals to vulnerable children across the North Coast this festive season.

Founder Eduard Louw said the meals will be purchased in bulk through We Are South Africans NPO at a cost of R3.50 per meal.

“The aim is to support some of the poorest NPOs and help them feed children for an entire year. So far, we have raised enough funds for 1 800 meals,” said Louw.

Among the beneficiaries already supported is Operation Bobbi Bear, a house for rescued abused children. The foundation will also assist the Bidvest McCarthy Toyota Ballito Knights feeding scheme, which provides meals to 100 children. Corporate sponsors are encouraged to get involved by adopting an NPO and offering long-term support. A portion of the meals raised will also be donated to The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
