Live music and long runs to look forward to on the North Coast

January events to ease you back into the social calendar.

Until 11 January – KickstArt Theatre Company’s vibrant production of Sinbad the Sailor at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban. Shows take place at 2.30pm from Tuesday to Sunday, and at 11am and 3.30pm on Saturdays. Tickets via Webtickets.

8 January – Sundowners on Eat Street with DJ Royal Love from 4-6pm.

9 January – Suits of Armour will set the vibe at The Market from 6-9pm, while Afritude will entertain Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

– Live music with Winston Smile at La Montagne from 6-9pm.

10 January – Enjoy breakfast with Rachel Mae at The Studios between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

– Angel will perform at The Market from 6-9pm, while Hale Mary plays on Eat Street between 6.30-9.30pm.

11 January – The Golden Super Hawks will put on a show at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Quiet Storm at Eat Street from 1-4pm.

– Enjoy a live performance by Noel at La Montagne from 1-4pm.

21 January – North Coast Chess Club’s first meeting of 2026 at Bean There Café at Ballito Hills Estate at 5pm. All ages and experience levels welcome. Club meets weekly at same time and location going forward. Contact Zoe at 082 455 3098.

1 February – Blythedale Trail Run with 5, 11 and 19km options. Details and tickets at kzntrailrunning.co.za.

• Wednesday and Saturday: Market 032 from 8am-12.30pm at La Montagne.
• Thursday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market, 7am-12pm, at Slow Roads Collective.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 5.30-8.30pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday and Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
