Launches, long runs and lovely North Coast events to look out for

15 January – Sundowners on Eat Street at Lifestyle Centre between 4-6pm with DJ Lady Muze.

16 January – Launch of the Redwoods Gallery with wine tasting at Redwoods Guest Farm on the Esenembe Road from 4-7pm. Booking essential via Nicci at 071 157 3244.

– Chuck Bowden will create the perfect vibe at The Market from 6-9pm while Suits of Armour will keep you entertained at Eat Street between 6.30-9.30pm.

17 January – Enjoy breakfast with Daniel Sheldon at The Studios from 10.30am-12.30pm and dinner at The Market with The Kickstands between 6-9pm or at Eat Street with Winston Smile from 6.30-9.30pm.

18 January – Angel will perform over lunch between 12.30-3.30pm at The Market while Afritude will keep you entertained at Eat Street between 1-4pm.

– Launch of Thank You for the Love by local author Mireille Barnard at the Ekhaya Guesthouse in Ballito at 2.30pm. A stirring story of survival, healing and hope. RSVP to Richard at 078 780 0735.

21 January – North Coast Chess Club’s first meeting of 2026 at Bean There Café at Ballito Hills Estate at 5pm. All ages and experience levels welcome. Club meets weekly at same time and location going forward. Contact Zoe at 082 455 3098.

25 January – First beach clean-up of 2026 at Zimbali Long Beach from 7-9am. Bring your gloves and a water bottle. Meet at Foch le Roux parking area.

1 February – Blythedale Trail Run with 5, 11 and 19km options. Details and tickets at kzntrailrunning.co.za.

• Thursday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market, 7am-12pm, at Slow Roads Collective.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 5.30-8.30pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday and Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
