Business breakfasts, bike challenges and Ballito events to look forward to

9 April – Sundowners on Eat Street with DJ La Mezcla from 4-6pm.

10 April – Men in Business breakfast at Wave Church Salt Rock from 7-9am. Guest speaker is Doug Lund, a sugar and maize farmer from Monzi turned wine producer in Plettenberg Bay. Free admission, but registration is essential via wavechurch.co.za.

– Chuck Bowden live at La Piazza Ballito from 5-8pm.

– Catch James Freedom at The Market between 6-9pm or Triple Beat at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

11 April – Enjoy breakfast with Tara Blake at The Studios at Lifestyle Centre between 10.30am-12.30pm, followed by lunch at The Market with The Black Lapels from 12.30-3.30pm. Trevor Donjeany will take over at The Market between 6-9pm, while Suits of Armour will perform at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

12 April – PeschlSports Cane Challenger mountain bike race and trail run from Cornubia towards Umdloti via EMBA trails. Various distances available, tickets range from R150 to R330 via racepass.com.

– Tom & Amanda Kids Show from 12-8pm at La Piazza Ballito.

– Sunday Lunch at The Market with The Kickstands from 12.30-3.30pm or at Eat Street with Quiet Storm from 1-4pm.

13 and 15 April – Donation-based yoga classes at Balvista Centre Ballito (Lutheran Church above SPCA Dog Box) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5.30-6.30pm. Proceeds go to charity. More info at yogamyoga.com.

17 April – Live music with Tiaan Rivers at La Piazza Ballito from 5-8pm.

30 April – Monthly Ballito Writers Group Meeting at the Ballito Library at 10.30am. All welcome. Speaker: Daniela d’Hotman de Villiers, who writes to assist families rediscover presence, connection and humanity in an age of screens and AI.

• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday and Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
