Exceptional colouring skills clinched the deal for a Stanger Manor Primary School pupil winning her a year’s supply of NuMetro movie tickets and other exciting movie hampers.
The ecstatic grade five pupil Priyanka Ramen who received her prizes last Friday, was selected from thousands of entrants from around the country as the winner of the NuMetro colouring competition that was held during the Easter school holidays.
Not only did the lucky pupil walk away with movie tickets for herself and her mother, but she had also scored her grade a NuMetro hamper full of goodies and her class movie tickets and NuMetro hampers.
NuMetro will also be donating stationary for the school’s art room.
Priyanka’s mother Mary Ganas said she hoped that winning the competition would teach her daughter to always take chances and aim high.
“We love watching movies and after we watched a movie at the NuMetro cinema at the Ballito Junction, I noticed the colouring competition and encouraged Priyanka to enter. As a single mother, fun activities are costly and this prize would help so much.”
NuMetro marketing and brand manager Evonne Bartels said she the national marketing department went through all entries before hand picking the winner.
“We were really impressed with Priyanka’s effort and the pride she took in her colouring. We wish her a fun movie adventure for the year ahead.”
