Dance for the ocean

"Our message was that if we do not stop polluting the ocean with rubbish, all that will be left will be Jellyfish."

The Ballito-based My Dance Studio girls wowed the audience as they performed a special ocean-inspired dance at the United for Dance Performance recently.

My Dance Studio’s Alexia Mark said their piece “Cry Of the Ocean” focused on the pollution in the ocean.

The stunning jellyfish dancers.

“Our message was that if we do not stop polluting the ocean with rubbish, all that will be left will be Jellyfish,” said Mark.

“As a studio we have decided to use our art form to create awareness about how badly our oceans and beaches are being affected. As a studio we have also participated in beach clean ups.”
