Crawford’s young leaders stand tall

The first leg of the journey peaked on Wednesday, 31 July, when the College held the Induction Ceremony for the newly elected Student Leadership Body.

The newly elected Crawford North Coast, 2019/2020 Student Leadership Body (SLB) started their journey the first week back at school.

The SLB attended a leadership camp at Loxley House in the Midlands. During this camp students were works-shopped on what leadership is, what the expectations are from both staff and students, how to lead, plan their projects for their term in office and most importantly, bond as a cohesive team.

The candidates running for this leadership body were interviewed in assembly and asked two rounds of questions, one prepared and one unprepared, which encompassed what it means to be a leader.

The strengths that school possess and the things they can do to help uplift the College even further.

Once the interviews were done, students and teachers were given the opportunity to democratically vote for the individuals they think are best suited as candidates for the Leadership Body.

The first leg of the journey peaked on Wednesday, 31 July, when the College held the Induction Ceremony for the newly elected Student Leadership Body.

It was a prestigious event attended by the principals and deputy principals, parents, staff and students who witnessed the induction of the SLB 2019/2020, and the recitation of the Crawford College North Coast Pledge.
